Project Manager – Signage, wraps and graphics

Specialized Signs Ltd is an established and innovative Signage, Wraps & Graphics company specializing in a variety of sectors. We work with a wide range of products including: - built up letters, vinyl graphics, hoardings, shop fascia’s and much more including some very bespoke signage and wraps. Some of our clients include Jewson, Scotmid, Graham Construction, Marriott, Sheraton, Tennent’s and many other leading brands.
 
We are looking for a high-performing Project Manager to deal with our ever-grown existing customer base. The day to day duties of this role are to deal with our existing customers requirements. The project manager will be the first point of contact for our clients, they will arrange and carry out site meetings to find out there needs as well as taking photographs and sizes so that accurate proofs can be made by our in-house design team. The PM will then price all jobs using our internal systems and then follow each project from start to completion working closely with our clients, suppliers and internal teams to meet the required deadlines and high-quality products and service our customers demand.
 
This role would ideally suit project managers from the construction industry or account managers from the design or print industry or similar roles.
 

 Responsibilities: -

  • Manage a large portfolio of accounts
  • Implement our strategic business plan as per senior management
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts
  • Manage key relationships within the team to provide a seamless delivery of services
  • Visit prospective and existing clients to build network
 

Requirements:-

  • Proven ability to fully manage projects
  • Strong business sense and commercial awareness
  • Successful previous experience as a manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • 3 years’ experience in the signage, print, design, advertising or marketing Industry preferred but not essential

EXPERIENCED SIGN MAKER

Salary: Depending on Experience
Job Type: Permanent

We are looking to recruit a fully trained and experienced sign maker with a minimum of 5 years experience.

Essential:

      • Full clean UK Driver’s Licence
     • 5 years of minimum experience
     • Professional and adaptable attitude.
     • You must be able to manage projects independently from start to finish as well as collaborating with the team on larger projects

Desirable but not essential:
IPAF, PASMA, CSCS, Asbestos and First Aid Cards.

SIGN MAKER / FABRICATOR

Salary: Depending on Experience
Job Type: Permanent

We require a new team member to join us in fabricating a wide range of signs in our well equipped workshop. You will be using machines such as: CNC router, bench saws, sanders, pillar drills etc. Cutting sheet material, assembling, gluing, sanding and finishing acrylic, metal and wood. Candidates must have experience in a similar environment and be able to work unsupervised. The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience operating a CNC router.

You must be enthusiastic with a ‘can do’ attitude, a good team player with ability to work independently and as a part of a team, be well organised with excellent time management skills, focused on attention to detail and highly confident.

Job Duties: 

     • Previous work experience in a fabrication environment.
     • To be able to work with rapid change within the workshop
     • A sound work history in a fast paced and production driven fabrication, manufacturing company.
     • Experience operating CNC router
     • Planning stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock;
     • Loading feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
     • Maintaining specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
     • Maintaining equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

Main Activities will be to:

     • Assist in production work.
     • Liaise with other departments to ensure deadlines are met.
     • Assist in ensuring that the department is running efficiently and to optimum production.
     • Check and maintain a high level of housekeeping within the department.
     • Adhere to all company’s health & safety procedures.
     • Provide technical assistance/support where required.

It would be advantageous to have a full driving licence to drive to various locations to carry out work using company vehicles. It would also be beneficial to have experience in all areas of general sign making, such as: cutting, weeding and printing vinyl, various vinyl application techniques on substrates and vehicles, and on-site installation of signage and vinyl products.
