EXPERIENCED SIGN MAKER

Salary: Depending on Experience
Job Type: Permanent

We are looking to recruit a fully trained and experienced sign maker with a minimum of 5 years experience.

Essential:
     • Full clean UK Driver’s Licence
     • 5 years of minimum experience
     • Professional and adaptable attitude.
     • You must be able to manage projects independently from start to finish as well as collaborating with the team on larger projects

Desirable but not essential:
IPAF, PASMA, CSCS, Asbestos and First Aid Cards.

SIGN MAKER / FABRICATOR

Salary: Depending on Experience
Job Type: Permanent

We require a new team member to join us in fabricating a wide range of signs in our well equipped workshop. You will be using machines such as: CNC router, bench saws, sanders, pillar drills etc. Cutting sheet material, assembling, gluing, sanding and finishing acrylic, metal and wood. Candidates must have experience in a similar environment and be able to work unsupervised. The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience operating a CNC router.

You must be enthusiastic with a ‘can do’ attitude, a good team player with ability to work independently and as a part of a team, be well organised with excellent time management skills, focused on attention to detail and highly confident.

Job Duties: 
     • Previous work experience in a fabrication environment.
     • To be able to work with rapid change within the workshop
     • A sound work history in a fast paced and production driven fabrication, manufacturing company.
     • Experience operating CNC router
     • Planning stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock;
     • Loading feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
     • Maintaining specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
     • Maintaining equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

Main Activities will be to:
     • Assist in production work.
     • Liaise with other departments to ensure deadlines are met.
     • Assist in ensuring that the department is running efficiently and to optimum production.
     • Check and maintain a high level of housekeeping within the department.
     • Adhere to all company’s health & safety procedures.
     • Provide technical assistance/support where required.

It would be advantageous to have a full driving licence to drive to various locations to carry out work using company vehicles. It would also be beneficial to have experience in all areas of general sign making, such as: cutting, weeding and printing vinyl, various vinyl application techniques on substrates and vehicles, and on-site installation of signage and vinyl products.

SALES ESTIMATOR & PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Specialized Signs Ltd is an established and innovative Signage & Graphics company specializing in Graphics & signage across a variety of sectors. We work with a wide range of signs and graphics including: - Built up letters, Vinyl Graphics, Hoardings, shop Fascias and much more including Bespoke Signage.

The Sales Manager - Estimator & Project Manager will provide leadership, management and development of projects and small works opportunities within the Edinburgh & central belt area. To ensure projects are secured and then delivered to meet time and budget requirements and to meet and exceed client expectations. Be able to price, run and bill the job and have experience in doing the process from start to finish.

The Sales Manager - Estimator & Project Manager will have the following responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of accounts and securing new business opportunities as they arise.
• Sell the portfolio of print, Graphics and Signage solutions into a variety of sectors
• Manage WIP within agreed business financial and timescale limits
• Manage key relationships within the team to provide a seamless delivery of services
• Ensure all “ High Risk” works on the estate are carried out in full compliance with Specialized Signs QHSE processes
• Visit prospective and existing clients to build network
• Review and negotiate bids offered by Suppliers and subcontractors.
• Continually review delivery performance and demonstrate financial and operational improvements
• Maximise the turnover and profitability of all projects allocated
• Ability to complete full site survey’s of the area where work is proposed, gather information for the design and estimate to complete the project.

Person Specification:

Preferred:
• 3 years relevant project experience
• Experience in all aspects of project management from quoting, mobilisation to delivery
• Previous experience within the Print or Construction Industry, a background in Design would also complement this role but not essential.
Essential:
• Great communication skills as client liaising will be a large part of the job
• Full clean driving licence
• Experience in dealing with health and safety

SALES & NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - SIGNAGE

Salary:£22,000 - £40,000

We work with a wide range of signs and graphics including: - Built up letters, Vinyl Graphics, Hoardings, shop Fascias and much more including Bespoke Signage. Some clients we work with are Jewson’s, Scotmid, Graham Construction, Marriott, Sheraton, Tennant’s and many other leading brands.

We are looking for a high-performing Sales/Business Development Manager to help us build on our customer portfolio and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. You will be responsible for maximizing our sales by crafting sales plans and justifying those plans to the upper management.

Responsibilities:
• Manage a portfolio of accounts whilst still actively seeking new business opportunities
• Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
• Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
• Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
• Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
• Manage key relationships within the team to provide a seamless delivery of services
• Visit prospective and existing clients to build network

Requirements:
• Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
• Strong business sense and industry expertise
• Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
